Contingent Workforce Manager

About the Role

As a Contingent Workforce Manager, you will lead the operations management for all contractors, consultants, temps, and vendors for BFA and all its subsidiaries. You will work with cross functional leaders to create a successful contingent staffing strategy, ensure compliance, and educate on our internal contingent workforce program. 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Create a contingent workforce strategy and program from the ground up.
  • Collaborate with respective leaders to determine contingent resourcing needs.
  • Be the main point of contact on employment issues for all contractors, consultants, temps, and vendors for BFA Industries and all its subsidiaries (IPSY, Boxy Charm, Madeby Collective, and Refreshments).
  • Audit and maintain databases for existing contractors, consultants, temps, and vendors. Flag areas of possible non-compliance and develop a plan to address any issues.
  • Ensure all contingent workers are properly classified and that the company is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Draft agreements for new consultants and amendments for changes to existing contracts.
  • Onboard and offboard all contractors, consultants, temps, and vendors.
  • Report on contingent workforce metrics to leadership, People, Finance, and Legal teams.
  • Stay up to date with changes to laws regarding contingent workforce and ensure compliance.
  • Educate and train hiring managers and People team on contingent workforce laws, strategy, and policies.
  • Partner with payroll and accounting to ensure timely and accurate payment for contingent workforce.
  • Partner with the IT team to ensure contingent workers have appropriate access to systems and equipment.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with 3rd parties for temps, vendors, and contractors. 

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of managing Contingent Workforce Programs with a focus on negotiating contracts and establishing end-to-end contingent workforce best practices.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite are required.
  • Strong understanding of independent contractor legal standards to make classification determinations, ensure proper contracting, and identify risk warranting legal advice 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to all levels of the organization.
  • Able to expertly navigate a large organization to build key relationships internally and externally.
